Tactiles Floor Safety Tactile Solutions - Meeting the needs of the vision impaired The visually impaired face great challenges every day - coping with the world outside their safe and familiar surroundings is difficult. For this reason, the federal government passed the Disability Discrimination Act of 1992 which protects vision impaired individuals across a spectrum of situations from hazards and discrimination including those involved in access to premises. Safe Floors Australia supplies and installs Grip Guard’s range of Tactiles GripGuard, as Australia's leading floor safety provider began their initiative to service this sector of our population by providing access solutions that will aid and protect the visually impaired. Grip Guard provides access solutions that meet or exceed regulations set down by this Act. Safe Floors Australia uses GripGuard tactile solutions for every conceivable tactile requirement and supply a full complement of DDA compliant access solutions. We are dedicated to ensuring prompt delivery, and installation if required, of purpose engineered, quality solutions for local government, architects, builders and installers. GripGuard access solutions include:
Our Range of Tactiles Discrete Architectural Stainless Steel Tactile Indicators- Grip Guard's Sure Steel discrete architectural stainless steel tactile indicators are high-range tactiles designed for installation in aesthetically sensitive application or where fine substrates are used such as granite, marble or polished timber. Sure Steel is manufactured from one solid piece of 3/6 stainless steel ensuring the Tactile head will never detach from the anchoring spigots especially useful for applications in which as shiny floor, without loss of slip resistance, is desired.
Discrete Architectural Plastic Tactile Indicators- Grip Guard's PolyStud discrete architectural plastic tactile indicators are designed for installation in aesthetically sensitive applications or where fine substrates are used such as granite, marble or polished timber. PolyStuds are more cost effective than stainless but still provide a smart finish. PolyStud is engineered and purpose built tough to withstand extreme point loading and side impact. The unique formulation and large anchoring spigot not only ensure the product is made to last, it also protects the substrate from any possibility of damage. PolyStud is long lasting and resistant to heavy traffic abuse and maintenance machinery. Colours include high visibility Yellow, Black, Ivory, Blue, Terracotta and Grey. Other colours are available on request.
Poly Pad Retrofit Polymeric Tactiles - Grip Guard's unique Poly Pads in a 600x900mm format makes these tactiles seamless. They are designed to retro-fit over almost any substrate and provide installers and building owners with the most simple and effective installation system.
