Tuggerah - Central Coast
Project Size:400m2
Project Brief:Our clients existing floor coating was worn through from vehicular traffic entering and exiting their facility.
We were engaged to provide a new floor coating that would last.
- Substrate was old soft concrete.
- Short return to service time.
- Existing coating to be removed.
- Line Marking to be re-instated.
As per all our epoxy projects, we prepared the surface via mechanical diamond grinding. This process removed the existing coating, smoothed worn rough concrete and provided a suitable key for the new epoxy system.
To address the issue of soft concrete we applied a penetrating sealer coat to densify the upper layer of the concrete surface, the applied an additional 2 coats of coloured epoxy.
Once these coats were dried, we reapplied the line marking as per previous locations. Line marking was a safety yellow gloss epoxy for maximum durability and professional look.
The majority of the works were done Friday-Saturday period, with the lines being marked in an afternoon after they had finished trading. This meant we were able to offer a fantastic result with minimal downtime.
